Blue Meeple – Fuse Bead Pattern
Doing fuse bead crafts have been one of my favorite recent pastimes. It’s a natural fit for turning pixel art and retro video game sprites into something physical you can put in a frame or stick on your fridge. Plus, there’s something therapeutic about placing all of those tiny beads one by one into a pattern. At least until the cat knocks them all onto the floor.
With SaltCON End of Summer coming up, I wanted to create my own tabletop-gaming-themed fuse bead patterns. And so, without further ado…
It’s a meeple! These little guys are a board gaming standard, showing up in hundreds of different games in a dozen different colors. They’re great for representing workers or armies or pretty much any other human being.
The pattern linked above is a printable .pdf file sized to fit official Perler-brand pegboards and using Perler bead colors. It’s also colorblind- and grayscale-friendly, with numbers in each square. The key in the top right corner shows you which color corresponds to which number.
